When I Asked You If You Loved Me

When I asked you if you loved me,
you turned your back and refused to face me
“Of course, I do,” that was what you said
But I never knew what was going on in your head.

When I asked you if you loved me,
I was hoping you would say the words immediately
But you just smiled at me with your captivating caramel eyes
And I could not decipher whether or not they were just expressing lies.

When I asked you if you loved me,
you walked a few steps away from me,
You looked at me with disappointment
When all I wanted was acknowledgement.

When I asked you if you loved me,
I was confused with the response you gave me
You planted a kiss on top of my head
You squeezed my body under the sheets in your bed.

When I asked you if you loved me,
I asked not because I believed you didn’t
I knew you did, but I wanted to be reminded
But all you believed in was that you weren’t trusted.

When I asked you if you loved me,
I didn’t foresee that you would leave me,
With all the happy memories you had shared with me
I never knew you had the capacity to forget me that quickly.

Comforter

I could feel my soul being burnt somewhere,

but I need more colors in my life so whatever,

On days like these, this is my only comforter,

It makes me forget how I always mess up as your lover.

Blurry

It is only seven in the morning
Page after page, I am here coloring
’cause I am a little troubled and my hands are a bit shaky
I am trying to focus but everything is just too blurry.

Color

Trace me and touch me with your fingertips
Place your thumb on me, press hardly and dominate me
Make me look beautiful, make me feel worthy
Slowly spread your color all over my body.

False Attraction

Once again, you’ve fooled me

Into believing there was you and me

Waited night and day for you to come back

Prayed to the moon and Sun for them to let our paths attract.

Moonlight

As darkness fully engulfs my aching body

I imagine your arms squeezing me tightly

Hoping that my dream would turn into reality

But all I could hear is the moon whispering zero possibility.

The sun stares at me with glaring light,
Reminding me I have survived another night without you by my side,
Making me realize that I have failed one more time;
for every moment you are not here I have always felt like I died.
