#LOTD: Summer Lovin’ Outfit

Oh summer, here you go again.

Here to stay for a little while

to make us fall in love

and then leave when we’re used to your heat

I wish you were here to stay

So it could be a year-long love affair.

Everybody loves summer! If not all, maybe most of us are in love with it. I am especially in favor of it simply because I love going to the beach and island hopping every summer. But of course, it is also because I love wearing minimal clothes during this season!

Before I went to my recent trip to Palawan, one of the most beautiful and marvelous islands in the Philippines, I visited Forever 21 to shop for some summer clothes. As usual, they never disappoints me. I found my new favorite top. It’s a light orange off-the-shoulder cropped top that shows off my abdomen and my clavicle. It’s no secret that I love flaunting my tummy and collarbone, alright. So this top has become my new favorite style of summer clothing. Pairing it with a high-waist shorts I got from H&M is also the absolute best!

I do think that you can pair this top with anything that is high-waisted. I tried pairing it with a high-waist maxi skirt and it was great, too. Because I loved it so much, I also got another top in red color, and I am going to show that on my next #LOTD! What’s your favorite style during the summer?

#LOTD: Diamond Hill

To Diamond Hill, off we go

to find a precious garden I didn’t know

I walked all day with an outfit I loved to show

they helped me survive the heat I considered a foe.

So sometimes I like to just walk around and discover new places in Hong Kong. I’ve been in and out of Hong Kong for almost a decade now, since the first time my mom brought me with her. My best friend took me to Diamond Hill, which I haven’t really been to before because I didn’t know there was something special about the place.

It was a very humid day, as usual, so I decided to wear something that I think would help me survive the day without sweating so much. I wore my favorite H&M turtle necked top, my favorite H&M high-waist shorts, and my favorite F21 platform boots. Believe me when I say the boots are so comfortable to wear no matter how long I walk.

Check out all the photos below:

To get to Diamond Hill, it is a bit more convenient to take the MTR than the bus. When you get off the Diamond Hill train station, you will have to find the exit that leads you to a mall. You will see the garden just behind it.

Since it was a very hot and humid day, no matter how short my shorts were and how cropped my cropped top was, I still sweat so much! Make sure to bring extra shirts and bottles of water so you don’t die. <3

#LOTD: Revisiting Tam-Awan Village

Tam-Awan Village is a popular tribal village you don’t want to skip visiting when you are in Baguio City. It is one of the many tourist spots that the mountainous city is very proud of.

Although I have already been to this place so many times before, I decided to visit it again. It was a bit gloomy when we went, but it was overall fun. I went to see their Bugnay Gallery. I don’t necessarily recommend dressing up the way I did when I went there. The place is a bit hilly and it will be better to wear something comfortable.

It was a bit cold but I opted wearing a sweater and a pair of shorts. I only had my flats with me so I didn’t have a choice. The floor was a bit muddy, and I felt bad for my flats. Haha.

So yes, when you go, please wear casual clothing or something that you don’t mind getting dirty.

Art takes me for granted, but I still take it very seriously.

The Bugnay Gallery exhibits paintings of women and children signifying fertility, birth, and motherhood.

Maybe the stars were right when I asked them about you;
They whispered loneliness while I dreamt of love that I thought was true.

My favorite part of the small gallery is this large collection of dream catcher. I love dream catchers so much!

Looking at you with these dreamy eyes
Wishing and wondering if you’ll ever be mine.

The village features small huts made of wood and hay. Most of these famous huts are called “Dukligan.” The Dukligan is a fertility hut that is considered the most interesting place in the village. In traditional Ifugao practice, couples stay in this hut for a month for mating purposes. If the woman fails to conceive after that, the man is allowed to sleep with another woman without forfeiting the marriage. The same treatment applies to the woman. She is also allowed to sleep with another man to find out which of them is fertile. Interesting, ha? I wonder if this place gets vacant sometimes. Haha!

So, what do you think of the place? Will you visit it if you got the chance? I hope you will!

#LOTD: LBD and that One Special Cardi

How’s everyone’s celebration so far? I hope you’re all having a great time today! So here’s my second favorite outfit for this week! I love little black dresses that fit my body perfectly and matching it with a special cardigan makes it the absolute bomb, doesn’t it? 🙂
